Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2026 | Last Updated: July 1, 2026
CardVerdict ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit cardverdict.io, join our waitlist, or use the CardVerdict Chrome extension.
By using CardVerdict, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate CardVerdict:
- Email address — collected when you join our waitlist or create an account. Used to notify you of launch updates, product announcements, and account-related communications.
- Usage data — when you use the Chrome extension, we may collect anonymized data about how the product is used, including which features are accessed and general browsing patterns on supported platforms (eBay). We do not collect or store specific card listings you view or personal purchase data.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.
- Technical data — basic technical information such as browser type, operating system, and IP address may be collected automatically when you visit our website. This is standard web server logging.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To notify waitlist members when CardVerdict launches or early access becomes available
- To deliver and improve the CardVerdict Chrome extension and related services
- To communicate product updates, feature announcements, and support responses
- To process subscription payments through Stripe
- To analyze anonymized usage patterns and improve product performance
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Waitlist email addresses are stored securely through Netlify's form management system. Subscriber account data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
CardVerdict integrates with third-party services to deliver its functionality, including but not limited to market data providers, payment processors, AI services, and hosting infrastructure. These services may receive limited data necessary to perform their functions.
- Market data providers — we query third-party pricing databases using publicly available card listing information to return comp data. No personally identifiable information is shared with these providers.
- Payment processing — subscription payments are handled by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number or billing details. The payment processor's own privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.
- AI services — our AI condition estimate feature sends card listing images to a third-party AI provider for analysis. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests. This feature is clearly labeled BETA.
- Website hosting and form processing — our website and waitlist form submissions are managed through third-party hosting infrastructure. Email addresses submitted through our waitlist form are stored securely by our hosting provider.
- Marketplace integration — CardVerdict operates as a browser overlay on supported marketplaces. We read publicly visible listing data only. We do not access your marketplace account, credentials, purchase history, or personal information.
We carefully evaluate all third-party services for security and privacy practices. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
5. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. The CardVerdict Chrome extension uses local browser storage only for caching pricing data to improve performance — this data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:

- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (right to be forgotten)
